Cool winks made by Sericea!

A very nice girl, member of begoths.com forum, made these using my pixel dolls... aren't they cute?

Now she's having some pc problems but I want to work on other winks with her, I love the idea! Thank you very much Sericea! Image hosted by Photobucket.com Image hosted by Photobucket.com
PS: I wait for you to come back on the board, I miss you!

My Christmas wishlist ;)

Even if I have a beautiful collection, I miss several dolls, especially 7".
But among all them there are some I want really bad and I hope I can have some for Christmas and for my birthday (the 1st of January!). Here they are:

  • Cyberella (regular)
  • Lunabella (regular)
  • Malice in Wonderland (regular)
  • Hypnotica (the only 12" I miss!)
  • Hysteria variant
  • Frown
  • Garthgoyle

The only problem is that series 2 Kindergoths are sold out on Bleeding Edge site and so hard to find! Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Bleeding Edge cell phone graphics!

Some time ago our great forum admin, begoths, told us about these cell phone graphics and I liked the idea very much! Too bad I live overseas and my mobile is a bit old and doesn't support wallpapers, colored images etc... I'd really like to see how they look like in person! You can buy them on MIDIRingTones website.
My favorites are:

All time favorites!

I've just realized I didn't wrote about my favorite dolls... It's a very difficult choice, cos I like them all!
My favorite 12" are Raven from series 1, Abcynthia from series 2, Divinity from series 3 and Devastatia from series 4... but Evening Storm is so close!
If I had to choose one only, I'd pick between Abcynthia and Divinity... some time ago it was definitely Abcynthia, but now I'm not so sure... Divinity brought me so much luck (she let me win two contests) and I've grown very fond of her. So, I guess my favorite 12" is Divinity Image hosted by Photobucket.com

My favorite 7" are Morbida from series 1, Ophelia from series 2, Autumn from series 3 and Angelica from series 4... even if Cyberella is very close. Ophelia is the doll which looks more like me, I couldn't but choose her as a favorite Image hosted by Photobucket.com

If I had to say my all time favorite, I'd say Autumn...

I would have said Angelica but I preferred her prototype and I still have to see her in person... maybe I'll change my mind then!

My favorite Kindergoths are Arania from series 1, Frown from series 2 and Fester from series 3. Dusty and Valetuino are very cute too! If I had to choose one, it would be Fester, I love him too much!

I can't wait to see series 4 Kindergoths! Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Curiosities - 1

I'm going to post some curiosities about Bleeding Edge Goths, from time to time... stay tuned for the next ones!

  • Steve Varner created the Goths line following an idea of his son, Stefan.

  • Morbida was the first 7" ever made. When the Bleeding Edge guys completed her, Wormwood had already taken shape and was on his way to being done.

  • Storm was the first 12" doll. She just came out from the Bleeding Edge guys' minds, without a concept sketch, and her details (dress, hairstyle, make up...) were added step by step according to what it came into their creative minds.

Crypt Club

The Crypt Club is the best club EVER! The membership kit is awesome and it's definitely worth the one time fee you have to pay! For $35.00 you get:

1) Access to the Bleeding Edge Exclusive Store
2) Morbida Exclusive figure
3) Bleeding Edge Long Sleeved Dagger Shirt
4) TWO Gifts from the Grave
5) Crypt Club membership sticker & button
6) Notification of new Bleeding Edge exclusives
7) Special Contests ONLY for Crypt Club members

Then you can count on the best customer service you could have wished for, and communicate with great people. The guys always try to solve every problem, even when they're not the ones to blame, and everyone is so nice and friendly... it's much more than a commercial thing!
I'm an overseas collector but I've always been treated like the US members; the guys helped me every way possible to avoid problems of any kind! Many other toy fans can't do but dream for such a service, I've heard about many problems with other clubs I won't name here and I'm very thankful I'm a Bleeding Edge fan, cos I'm in the most careful and helpful hands.
I definitely recommend the Crypt Club!!!

In case someone doesn't know what I'm talking about, chase figures (or simply variants) are dolls that differ from the regular versions for one or more details... a different hair or dress color, for example.

Dolls display

Some people like hanging their boxed BEgoths on the walls... the effect is very cool and it's a perfect solution if you don't have much room to display your dolls. Even if the boxes are very cool and strong I had to debox my dolls, I can't resist opening them and touching them... they have the softest hair ever!
I couldn't afford a proper curio cabinet, so I bought a very simple wooden cabinet and painted it purple, with glitters on it... then I covered it with some purple tulle and voilà my display! I think it's very nice and it helps protecting the dolls from the dust.
I had to buy doll stands too,
Sylvia's Dolls sells some black Kaiser stands which are perfect for BEgoths, and their price is very good!
Here's a picture of my display (you can see more in my BEgoths picture gallery) ... It still needs some improvements and I've recently moved my 7" on a high shelf, cos they weren't safe there, with my new kitty around!

About my collection...

My first BEgoth was Storm. I wanted to buy Raven first cos she was my favorite, I went to Milan just to buy her but she wasn't in stock anymore, luckily they still had one Storm left, and I bought her!
The other girls were there too, but they're a bit expensive in Euro and I preferred buying them online. A part from Storm I've bought all the other BEgoths online; being an italian BEgoths collector is not easy!
By the way, the Bleeding Edge family is expanding here too, I 've seen the first BEgoths on ebay.it too, and a couple of shops sell them, I know
La Borsa Del Fumetto in Milan and Thrauma ... just in case some italian people are reading my blog too

The blog fever hit me too...

I've decided to create a blog about one of my biggest passions: Bleeding Edge Goths dolls. I can say they are part of my life now. The Bleeding Edge guys are great! I definitely found some true friends and many wonderful people like Toni and Veronica, for example, and Steve Varner is a great person too, very down to earth and very nice with his fans. This made me love the dolls even more, I've made so many things involving them (drawings, poems, pictures, displays, etc...) and I want to share all this with the other collectors and friends I've met during these years. That's why I'm writing in English: I want to reach and communicate to much more people.
It seems yesterday, when I first saw Raven and fell in love with her, it was the middle of December, 2003. I had never seen something so wonderful and intriguing before. Now I have a great collection which I'm proud of and I'm really curious to see what the Bleeding Edge guys will bring us with the next series
