I love it cos it's funny and it reminds me of the games I played when I was a child. I owned that game, I don't know how it is called in English... it was cool!

My favorite one was "Guess who?" anyway, that's too funny!

Picture of the week - 17

The picture of this week is pretty obvious... I've chosen Angelica in that snowy day again. I wanted to choose a recent picture and the Angelica ones are the best I took this week.

So, you can admire the beauty of this dark angel again... gloomy but delicate as the snow.

Update: Rebecca's Realm Frames

I had already told you about the new frames that Bleeding Edge is going to release...
There are three frames with different designs, all inspired by the cool Rebecca's Realm toons.

I had shown two of them in a previous post; the third has been revealed these days. Here it is:

Rebecca's Nightmare frame!

Isn't it awesome?!? This is the black&silver version, my favorite one Image hosting by Photobucket

The guys made three/four paint versions of them, and they asked us to vote for our favorites. You can see the pictures of every version and vote on begoths.com forum:

These polls are very useful for the guys cos we are all potential buyers and we have a chance to decide what we'd prefer to buy Image hosting by Photobucket

My prize has come... a lot of new dolls! Yay!

My prize for the blog contest has come, I'm so happy!

I have so many dolls now, my 7" collection has increased a lot! I have many pictures to take, hoping to catch the beauty of the dolls and let you see it. Some dolls don't sell very well cos people have never seen great pics of them, or they have never seen them in person. And this makes the difference!

I was very surprised to see how awesome the clear shots are... they are truly beautiful, they seem ice sculptures and now I want an Edward Scissorhands figure to make a nice scene with them Image hosting by Photobucket

The silver Cyberella is great too, she's stunning and different... she looks like a piece of design, to me!

Stay tuned for the pictures!

It's snowing again...

Yesterday my town has been covered by soft glittered white flakes of snow. The view is awesome, I'm always so excited when it comes the snow. I love it. It has stopped snowing only in the late afternoon, there's such an unusual silence... Image hosting by Photobucket

I wanted to take some pictures of my new doll Angelica in front of the window, here's one... to celebrate these snowing days Image hosting by Photobucket

Look-a-likes - 1

I'm starting a new topic for my blog, today.

I love creating associations with similar elements and since BEgoths often remind me of other characters, people or creatures, I'm going to post the similarities I have found (or well known ones) here.

Here's the first one... the most obvious!

STORM (SERIES 1) - DONNA RICCI

Image hosting by Photobucket

Image hosting by Photobucket
There's a strong connection between Donna Ricci and Storm, the doll is said to be inspired by the gothic supermodel!

Donna's photos are from Drac-in-a-Box.
You can read more and even purchase the gown at
Drac-in-a-Box.

Visit Donna Ricci's website, if you want to know more about her too!

Picture of the week - 16

Yesterday I got some dolls that Danielle bought for me. She is awesome cos she knows I'm picky and she let me chose my two Angelica. Thank you very much, I love you Image hosting by Photobucket
The dolls are simply awesome, and now I have a new favorite 7"... you can see her here:

Angelica among flowers

Angelica variant is definitely my favorite 7" now, I love her too much, she's so delicate, graceful and she has the perfect colors hehe Image hosting by Photobucket
The picture is a bit dark, I know, but it may be the reason why I love this picture so much. I have more pics to show, and they are clearer... but this is particularly romantic and "old-style". I hope you like it!

New Bleeding Edge merchandise! Awesome!

A couple of days ago, Steve Varner has let us know that they are going to make 3 Rebecca's Realm picture frames.

Awesome!

They made 3 paint versions and posted them on the forum to let us express our opinions about them and tell which ones we like most.
If you want to see them and write your comment, go to the forum thread and post!
You can also express what you think here, in a comment... Now comments are open to everyone, you know!

Bleeding Edge is famous for being so thoughful and interested in their fans' opinions... I think it's priceless. I don't know any other company who acts like this, I don't think it exists another one like Bleeding Edge!!!

By the way, my favorite version is the black&silver one. Here are the two frames shown:

Rebecca with cats

Max, Edgar, Rebecca and the tree

Aren't they awesome?!?!
The first one is perfect for a picture of my kitty, Merlino! I'm surely going to buy them hehehe...

Stay tuned for the third design!

Abcynthia Chaser SOLD OUT on begoths.com!!!

This morning I was browsing Bleeding Edge site as I usually do, I wanted to have a look at the dolls turnarounds and noticed that Abcynthia Chaser is now sold out!

She's my second favorite doll, after Divinity, and I'm so happy I already have her...

By the way, if you want her... don't despair cos you still have chances to find her on ebay or in online shops, but don't hesitate too much, grab her while you can!

Isn't she wonderful? I really love her!

Picture of the week - 15

This is a picture I took much time ago. I wanted to try and make some pics with the same style of the pics taken by another forum member, AllHallowsGhost. He's really a great photographer and his pics are more than awesome, I love them too much and I want to print some of them (when I have some money to spend!).
I'm sorry AllHallowsGhost, I know that this picture is not comparable to yours but it's just an attempt...

I hope you like it anyway, guys!

Great excitement!

My dear friend Danielle sent me a copy of Gothic Beauty magazine, just to have a look at the BEgoths ad in person, with my own eyes.

The ad is this one:

Gothic Beauty BEgoths ad!

I was so excited to see it and touch it!

Now I'd like to buy every magazine where Bleeding Edge appeared hehe...

It would be so great if Bleeding Edge could be more present and popular here in Italy too. I don't own the elitist instinct that many people have, I don't care about it. I'd prefer having a easier time collecting what I love, than feeling part of a little niche, with all the practical difficulties. And I'd like the guys to have the success they deserve, worldwide!

Much news on www.begoths.com!

Even if this is a very busy period for the guys, with the Toy Fair quickly approaching and the last touches to series 5, the Bleeding Edge guys have found the time to please us by updating the site with more cool stuff and news.

First of all, the contest results are shown in the Play page. While you're there, you can browse in the archive and take a look at the past contests and entries!

Then, the Goth Toon section has been renamed: now it's called Rebecca's Realm, as already pre-announced some time ago... a very cool name, isn't it?

The BEgoths Fan Sites page has been added, you can find my blog along with the other 1st and 2nd place winners ones. Have fun having a look at these cool blogs!
I love the banners that the guys made for us! Here's mine:
Explore the BEgoths Fan Sites!

And last but not least... a brand new section, the Minor Misfits! It's just awesome! The guys wanted to amuse us more and created another variety of super cool and hilarious toons, involving the BEgoths plush (formerly known as Kindergoths). The guys will be putting up a new Minor Misfits Toon every month... so keep an eye on that section of Bleeding Edge site! Enjoy the first one made by the talented and creative James:

Go and see the Minor Misfits Toons!

When I write these posts I feel like I'm such a proud collectionist... I'm so lucky cos we probably have the best and most updated site of the whole gothic toys web scene!

BLEEDING EDGE IS GREAT!

If you have something to say, do it with my BEgoths e-cards!

I'm very proud to present my BEgoths e-cards service.
It's active from late December, but I didn't have the chance to talk about it sooner.

I always wanted to do that, but I didn't have the ability and the right occasion to do that. I never owned a site, so you see it would have been useless.

I created some e-cards which can apply to different situations, and there are more to come! Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I want to cover all the main situations, and if you have suggestions about the e-card topics, leave a comment here!
They are quite simple but funny, I really love some of those pics.

I added some music too... I hate when you click on a link and a loud music starts playing, but concerning the e-cards it's absolutely different... you expect there could be music and it's much more wanted and appropriated.
I hope you like the songs or sounds I've chosen.
If you can't hear them and you are asked to agree to the Crescendo License, don't worry! It's nothing wrong or risky, it's just a plug-in which allows you to listen to the midi or wav files in the web pages. I had to agree myself cos I wasn't able to hear a sound...

Just remember that I don't have a website and so I had to upload them on a file hosting site. This means that if I exceed the bandwidth, the sound clips could be temporary unavailable.
Thanx for your patience! Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I hope you like them and appreciate my effort to find the right stuff and create the right situation to take the pictures and creating the different e-cards!
It was very fun anyway Image hosted by Photobucket.com

At the moment, you can find these categories:

  • Happy birthday
  • You're my best friend
  • I'm sorry
  • I love you
  • You're irresistible (a love situation too)
  • Get well soon
  • Merry Christmas
  • Happy New Year

But I'm going to update the service, add new cards and replace the seasonal ones soon!

Just keep an eye on them and enjoy the actual ones! Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Curiosities - 3

- There are always some changes between the prototype doll and the final version, but these are the most noticeable -

  • Bonez is the Kindergoth with more prototypes, you can count three of them. The first one was cream white, the second one was dark purple but for the final version the guys chose black for him.
  • Lillian is the doll who has been made in the biggest number of versions: two prototypes and the final version, which is slightly different from the 2nd prototype. The guys originally made Lillian with her black cape lined in red and a red belt. Then when they were making the second batch of their order, Steve Varner decided he liked her best in all black. The factory made some in all black and apparently still had some red fabric left over so they decided to make an all black one with a red belt. Recently, a 4th version of Lillian has been found. She has a black cape with red collar and red belt! The quantity of each of the three variants must be less that 1,000 of each... it is so very hard to find all 4 versions!
  • Sinstress prototype had curly hair, she would have been the one and only BEgoth with curly hair. But the guys decided to create a different hairstyle for her, similar to Raven's one.
  • The first version of Julia was supposed to have buns, but there were some troubles in production and the guys chose a soft ponytail for her. She looks great in both ways!

Picture of the week - 14

This week I decided to post a picture of me. I think it's the first time I show myself here, I'm pretty shy and I don't think I'm such a beauty who has to be shown hehehe.

Along with the AWESOME prize of the Blog Contest, the guys are going to advertise our blogs in these cool magazines: Lee's Toy Review, Gothic Beauty and Rue Morgue... and it's not all!

James Tomlinson, the editor of Lee's Toy Review, is going to do a special write up about the 1st and 2nd place winners in their magazine which hits the newsstands on February 1st, 2006! And he needs some pics of us to add to the article.

Here's the picture that will probably end up in the magazine. I thought that taking a pics near my "Relics" would have been a cool idea!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

James is a wonderful and very friendly person, I had the chance to talk to him some times and he was very warm. You can guess how much that means to me, an italian girl who's receiving so many good vibes from the US!

All this is simply great cos many toys companies don't allow non-US people to enter contests, take advantage of promotions or join so cool initiatives. This is a lesson that Bleeding Edge and its friends are giving to you guys out there!!! Chapeau!!!

News about Comments...

Since I had some requests from my friends, I've changed the settings of my comments.

Now everyone can post a comment, I didn't set the moderation up, but remember I can always delete the rude and inappropriate ones, and spam, of course. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

And now leave a comment to my blog, it would make me happy! Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Now you can see that with your own eyes!!!

I've found a nice way to animate the dolls, they are e-cards with a 14days life, but you can enjoy them now!

Hear Evening Storm speaking!

Hear Fiona speaking!

I want you.... to vote!!!!

Among the new features of my blog you can find two polls about BEgoths.

One is the Mini-Poll you can find under the games, in its cute light purple box. It's the first question I had in mind, thinking about BEgoths. It's always nice to hear where we all started. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The second one is the Vote Caster, a poll with 5 questions that you can find right under the Mini-Poll.
I tried to select some questions that could have been interesting for the Bleeding Edge guys too... I'm sure they are curious to hear our opinions cos they are always very attentive to what the fans have to say!

You have the chance to express your opinions here, don't miss this chance, enjoy the polls and vote!!!!

I had a wonderful night yesterday and today I've been a bit lazy cos I'm still very asleep.

I got some great presents, but I want to buy me some BEgoths too...
Well, I'd like to win the blog contest as a birthday gift, but I'm going to buy some dolls soon anyway... and I need more stands!

This year many people remembered about my birthday and I'm very happy about that!

Happy birthday to me!
